Sciencebition Salem

To bring together creative young minds that seek recognition of their intellectual prowess, FIITJEE hosted its mega student-centric event Sciencebition for the first time in Salem. In pursuit of shaping the lives of students with timely and meticulous guidance, FIITJEE had also arranged DHISAI, a career guidance fair that opened up a whole range of educational vistas for students to help them carve out a niche in their field of their interest.

The three day event saw a wide array of exhibits made by participants from 20 different schools. The theme of the exhibit was science, mathematics and technology. More than 1000 students from different schools in Salem, Namakkal and Karur attended the event. There were about 60 exhibits that were evaluated for the final prizes.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Venkatavaradan, the former director of Nehru Planetarium, Mumbai. The judge of the event was Dr. Venkatesan P, director & principal, Vysya College.

Mrs. Gnanagowri, Chief Educational Officer, Salem was the chief guest of the valedictory function. She motivated the students to explore beyond the books and to think differently for achieving success in life.

The event witnessed a nail-biting competition and the first prize was bagged by N Asrin, R Sree Nithi and S Shilpa of Rasi International School. Arun and Divesh Iyappan of St. Theresa School and B Vimalesh & Prajhin of Senthil Public School won the second and third prizes.

Mrs. M Kothai, Deputy centre coordinator of FIITJEE Salem felicitated the function and also proposed the vote of thanks.
